Bar Supervisor

£8.90 per hour (45 hours per week) plus share of tips


The role… looking for a confident, professional Bar Supervisor to assist with the re-launch and running of boutique-hotel bar.  Open 7 days a week to our 22 guests and diners of the 30-cover fine-dining restaurant, which is headed up by Masterchef the Professionals finalist, Andrew Durham.  Responsible to the hotel director, the role entails creating and delivering the theatre of a concise yet sophisticated cocktail offering, professionally delivering and selling a comprehensive wine list to accompany the restaurant menus as well as delivering and mixing a range of drinks with skill and expertise.


The ideal candidate should:

  • have previous experience in a food & beverage capacity

  • have a genuine passion and interest in wines, ales, spirits and cocktails

  • will consistently provide a 5-star service to all our guests and visitors

  • will input into continual product development, sales, promotions, incentives and upselling

  • Can keep a level head during busy months and above all deliver personality and positivity to a small yet extremely professional operation

  • Work well as a team alongside a small and happy bunch of hotel, restaurant and kitchen personnel


Training and mentoring provided both internally and externally. This role is permanent for the right candidate and ideally suited to candidates who wishes to input into the product and be incremental in the growth of a relatively new and exciting business.  Hours Tuesday to Saturday 2pm – 11pm with a staff meal provided.   The hotel plans on closing for staff annual leave mid-December and returning in February each year.  Virus dependent the role is from May 2021 onwards.
