Front of House

£10-£12 per hour (flexible hours up to 40 hours per week) plus share of tips

 

The role… looking for a confident, professional, happy people to join our small & friendly team.  A newly refurbished boutique hotel, restaurant, bar and takeaway -  open 7 days a week - delivering a premium service to 22 staying guests plus plenty of sit-in/takeaway diners 5 days per week. Re-opening after winter closedown on 10th February 2022.

 

Responsible to the hotel director, the role includes a diverse range of tasks which gives successful candidates a wealth of valuable experience of the hotel and restaurant industry and above all else is fast-moving and fun....

Tasks include

 - Looking after hotel guests, checking them in and out and generally being nice and smiley and making them feel at home

 - Bar service - making drinks, pulling pints, mixing a couple of cocktails and getting excited about our guest craft ales, local gins and consise but lovely selection of wines

 - Food service - delivering globally inspired sharing plates of food from 5pm to 10pm 5 days a week from our 'Lasy Susans' kitchen team

 - Taking payment, cleaning down, setting up for the next day and patting each other on the back for a job well-done...roll on tomorrow!

The ideal candidate should:

  • have previous experience in a food & beverage capacity

  • have a basic knowledge of computers in order to get involved with our POS system, hotel booking platform and to take orders digitally

  • love working with people, be bright and bubbly and always strive to offer an experience to remember (for good reasons) for all our guests and diners 

  • be interested in what you are doing day to day, think outside the box and always feedback to management on the product and service we deliver - there is always room for improvement and this only comes from the customer and you guys on the ground  - we love new ideas and want you to feel part of our family

  • be able to keep a level head during busy times and above all deliver personality and positivity - what happens during service stays in service!

  • work well as a team alongside a small and happy bunch of hotel, restaurant, kitchen and housekeeping peeps

 

Training and mentoring always provided on all aspects of the job. These roles are permanent for the right person and not permanent for those who want to work just for the season! Full time roles available for those who need, or part-time for those with other commitments.  Hours Monday to Sunday between 12pm – 10/11pm on a pre-arranged and mutually-agreed rota basis.   The hotel plans on closing for staff annual leave early December and returning mid February each year. Breakfast Chef

£11.20 per hour Mon-Sat 7.30am-11am (21 hours per week)

The ideal cook will be able to produce a consistently high standard of work with immaculate presentation and attention to detail using local fresh produce to deliver our a la carte breakfast menu which adopts a fresh and modern approach to breakfast.  Our lovely front of house girls will take and deliver all the orders and prepare drinks and help set up buffet items too.  We aim to make memories, after all it's the most important meal of the day.

 

Our kitchen caters for up to 25 guests for breakfast with a focus on excellence throughout their stay experience. Applicants must be energetic, positive, remain calm during busy periods and be prepared to complete each service in full, including a thorough clean-down and filling out the health and safety checklists.  This is a solo role in the kitchen but will consider a job share arrangement if interested/can only fulfil a partial week and would like to apply.

 

Position starts on 10th Feb through to mid December 7.30am-11am Monday to Saturday

Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant

£8.90 per hour Wed-Sun 5pm-11pm (sun 12pm-5pm) (30 hours per week)

Reporting to the head chef to look after all things cleaning in the kitchen.  A buzzy, friendly environment, central to the ongoing success of our boutique hotel.  Responsible for the cleanliness of the entire kitchen during service and ensuring a clean closedown and ongoing equipment sanitising. Required to help with newly launched takeaway service from the outdoor courtyard and wellness garden - includes packing and wrapping meals and delivering to waiting customers
